The purpose of this book is to provide nurses and other health workers with knowledge of the structure and functions of the human body and the changes that take place when diseases disrupt normal processes. The latter includes abnormal physiology, the likely progress and the probable outcome of untreated disease. In this edition the pathophysiological material has been placed at the end of each chapter so that, in all cases, the abnormal follows the normal. Very helpful book

I have used this book in my studies a lot, and it is a very good guide to understanding the human body. It is more in depth than most books on this subject, and each chapters ends with the most common diseased associated with that part of the human body you have just read about.
It is a very well illustrated book, with clear explanations and summary's at the end of each paragraph to test your intake of the information.
I can highly recommend it.
