Linda earned degrees in Mathematics, Science and Behavioral Science. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Loma Linda University in California. She has over 25-years in administrative employment with both federal and local governments. Her passion for intercessory prayer and Biblical hermeneutics has enhanced her interest in spiritual warfare. She is the co-author of “Demons in My Marriage Bed: A True Story of Spiritual Warfare,” "Eyes to See Unseen Enemies," "Idol'-i-cide: The Killing of Idols," and "Christianity of Blasphemy: A New Gnostic Lie." Paul earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Studies and Systematic Theology from Southeastern University in Florida. How to save a marriage? Read Here!

This book is about the true story of good verses evil, light verses darkness. It is the story of two people who made a complete mess of their marriage. Tried to fix it and failed and then tried the only way it could possibly be saved. No amount of therapy or friends advice would have made something good of what they had ruined. So many marriages and relationships ( between friends and family) are on the rocks today. So many divorces. And people just remarry and divorce again! This is because they don't know what this couple finally realized. Everyone should read this book! Whether you are married or not. It will save you a ton of sorrow if you take its advice and follow it. This family was oppressed by demons and people who wanted to destroy their relationship and their lives. The couple made wrong choices. Then they tried to leave behind their occult hobbies and interests. But it didn't want to be left behind! The demons hung onto them tightly, and tried to infiltrate even their sleep and inner thoughts while they hammered at them physically. They stumbled and fell, got back up and stumbled and fell again. In the book, they did not keep their pride intact but laid out all their behaviors and failings for the reader. Because of that very honest human viewpoint and lack of privacy, they have given us a front row seat to the turmoil in this marriage while it was being ravaged by demonic entities, witches and the couple's own titillation with the occult and the very real experiences of terror that it brings, until finding their footing in the only way they could have survived. Throughout all the stumbling and falling the devil was hard at work doing what he does: stealing, killing, and destroying. They had experiences that would make you want to sleep with the lights on for the rest of your days. In the end, they triumph and we celebrate the joy that comes from true freedom from the bondage of darkness. Thru this victory they became as a couple more than the sum of their parts, experienced total forgiveness and found a new reason to live.
This book should be read by everyone because it has the information necessary to heal any broken relationship, any broken heart and restore the reader to wholeness if the advice is taken and followed.

God is All-Powerful!

An amazing testimony of God's faithfulness and grace! God takes the Marraige Covenant quite seriously--and this true account shows God's amazing redemptive work and deliverance over evil in the lives and marraige of Paul & Linda. It is co-written by husband & wife, each telling about the real experiences they each battled.
Paul begins by telling about his attraction to, and his involvment with, different occultic practices to gain power and control in his life. In being blinded from the truth and in the control of satan, Paul, while out on a business trip was led into an affair with a woman who was involved in witchcraft. In this rebellion and sin against God the enemy gained a major foothold, trapping Paul and Linda both in a power struggle against evil. His marraige and family both were taken through a confrontation with evil, encountering and combatting dark forces in their very own homes. In the book, he and Linda also write about spiritual warfare and give teaching about the marraige covenant and how it is seen in the eyes of God. All victory comes from prayer, the blood of Jesus Christ, and in standing on God's Word which IS TRUTH. Two negatives: #1-there are some minor grammatical errors which can easily be fixed. #2- I would have picked a more serious book cover. But like they say, "You can't judge a book by it's cover" and this is certainly true for this one! I still give it 5 stars.

This book was amazing! I've been listening to the authors on the KAPOW Radio Network podcast, which is where I heard them talk about their book, so I decided to check it out. I'm so glad I got this book! I've had a few experiences myself with demons & have a few other spiritual warfare books, but none of them grabbed & held my attention like this one did. Their story is terrifying, which is what makes the book so interesting, but it also gives straight forward, Bible based advice on how to battle with Satan, his demons, etc. I'm going to read this book again, actually!

Helpful Zelda guide

I love this beautiful guide. This guide had beautiful pictures and it shows how to find the power ups, the pieces of heart, and weapons, it had the maps of dungeons and Hyrule, how to beat mini-games, It shows where to go next, and how to beat the bosses. If you have any problems, you can buy this guide and I promise that this guide is very helpful.

A useful companion to a challenging game

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds - Collectors Edition Game Guide

Hard on the heels of the releases of Nintendo's latest game in the Zelda franchise - "A Link Between Worlds" - Prima Publishers has issued a companion game guide in a collectors edition.

For this amateur gamer I find these Prima guides indispensable. The guide is an encyclopedia of walk through helps, location of hidden items and hint for solving puzzles and defeating various evils doers. Numerous world maps in the back of the book are keyed with locations of places to visit, to avoid, and treasure locations and temples.

You certainly don't need a guidebook to play this game. Some folks feel a guide detracts from the challenge of solving the various riddles and defeating the bosses. I find having the guide very helpful when I reach a dead end, but that's one person's opinion.

The collector's edition is a large hardbound book measuring 8.5 inches by 11, gilt edged and 320 pages long. The cover boards are light green with a stylized gold border with a Zelda/Triforce design imprinted on the front cover. To my knowledge this is the fifth Zelda Collectors Edition published by Prima - the only difference is the other editions is the color of the hardbound boards.

Highly recommend as an attractive Legend of Zelda collectable and a useful companion to a challenging game.

Good, but a few notable flaws

On the whole, this is a much better effort than the Skyward Sword guide. Maps are great, and the item lists and locations were very valuable time savers. There are two major errors in the guide to be aware of;

1. It tells you that Ravio's item rental shop is opened right after you get the Power Glove, but you also need to get the Zora Flippers first before it opens.
2. More importantly, for the final battle of the game, it tells you to shoot arrows behind you all the way around the wall from the start, but this only works on the THIRD time; before that, you have to shoot normally, un-merge with the wall and then merge BEHIND the boss to shoot him. I had to use a free online guide to figure that out because the book was wrong; disappointing, and at a crucial time.

Other than that, this is a great guide, and was invaluable for collecting all the items. It's worth that cost alone. Just be aware of those few errors and you'll be fine.

About the Author

Virginia Braun is an Associate Professor in the School of Psychology at The University of Auckland, Auckland, Aotearoa/New Zealand. She is a feminist and critical psychologist whose research explores the intersecting areas of gender, bodies, sex//sexuality and health. She has worked on projects related to heterosex, sexual health, cervical cancer prevention policy, sexuality and higher education, women's genital meanings and experiences, and female genital cosmetic surgery, and is current involved in a Marsden-funded project related to pornography (with Nicola Gavey & Linda Tyler; University of Auckland). She is also interested in the intersections between academic work and activism, and is involved in The New View Campaign's work around female genital cosmetic surgery. She has an ongoing interest in qualitative research and, with Victoria Clarke, developed a theoretically-flexible approach to thematic analysis. She is currently editor (with Nicola Gavey) of the journal Feminism & Psychology (Sage, UK).

Not impressed

From what I can tell, this text is poorly organized and written. I noticed typos and a sub-par sentence structure. I had to buy this for a college class, but am considering buying another text to supplement this one. Not sure if the problem with this text is me. I never did have a preference for anything "practical."

Really good book!

I really enjoyed this book. Everyone in Katelyn's family is in the Police department. She feels she has to work twice as hard as her brothers to make promotion. She is trying to make sergeant before her 29th birthday. Katelyn goes undercover to try to stop the killer that is killing newlyweds. I love the way she meets her new boss... Her new boss is also undercover, and she suspects him, so she pulls him to the side and frisk him for weapons at a wedding. She is embarrassed when she finds out he is a policeman, and mortified to find out he is her new boss. Later they get paired together, posing together as lovers. This book had lots of action, and romance. This book was hard to put down!

Ryland had pitted him against not just Bryden but the entire O'Malley clan - including Katelyn. Yet it hadn't kept them apart. Of course, probably nothing short of critical injury or death could have done that. There were times, like now, when Joe felt as if he were in the path of a speeding train, and there was nothing he could do to stop it. Nothing he wanted to do to stop it. Talk about confusing. They had a killer to catch, and his every other thought was of the redhead he'd left in the conference room. She deserved better than that and so did the victims.

Veiled intentions

I loved how the two main charters meet they instantly dislike each other and are at odds with each other but do to there different styles of how they handle a crisis they are thrown together and learn to work together and fall in love too plus it's cutie how they slowly except there feelings for each other and how they handle them. It's got lots of action drama and great chapters I really enjoy the brothers and sister relationships between the Omally clan

The story starts out with Katelyn O'Malley and includes her two brothers, Brayden and Garrett [due out in 2/05].

Katelyn is bound and determined to find the sniper that is killing newly-weds. She has an agenda to make Sargeant before she is 29. [Like her brothers]

Sargeant Joe Rico is newly appointed to the Homicide Squad and Katelyn's new boss. He is also investigating allegations against Brayden, who has not completely recovered from his wife's death.

Both Katelyn and her brother, Sargeant Garrett O'Malley of Special Investigations warn Joe against hurting Brayden.

[loved the way Katelyn meets her new boss] Rico finds out that Katelyn has set up a cover with a marriage broker and low and behold they seemed to be matched up. They have to go undercover together.

Well, I was greatly disappointed in this character. She sure did not have any moral inclinations, admiting to other lovers before Joe. Their romps through the pages became a little too much for the story. Yuck!

On the whole the story was very good - characters leave a bit to be desired but what can you expect of the [broads] females of this day and age.

Read only to complete the O'Malley stories [but you won't miss much] #2, Brayden's story is much better in a way.

Elliott Epstein has been a Maine trial lawyer for more than 30 years. Previously he worked as a journalist, and, since 2007, has written a monthly newspaper column entitled "Rearview Mirror", which analyzes current events in the context of history. He is a graduate of Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, received a master's degree in history from Imperial College of the University of London, and earned his law degree from the University of Maine. Aaaaaaall Abooooard A Ride Into Hell

Shoving a four-year-old girl into an oven while she's still conscious, turning the thing up to its maximum heat and roasting her alive is a horror to end all horrors. This 1984 crime happened in our state of Maine. I can still remember the intense public anger which ensued. Mr. Epstein isn't kidding when he said there was great reluctance by anyone wanting to be associated with the case. It took a great deal of courage for the parties involved to give them a fair trial in the face of a lynch-mob mentality. The author does a fine job laying out the horrible event, the major characters' actions, the unfolding of the trial and its verdicts. Mr. Epstein should be commended for also explaining the dysfunctional background in which Cynthia Palmer and John Lane were raised. He does a great service by showing that these two people not only had serious mental-health issues, but came from "families" who could be poster-children for birth control or sterilization. The author doesn't have John Grisham's writing flair, but the shocking nature of this crime kept me absorbed.

Engrossing and Interesting

Despite the disturbing nature of the crime, Elliot Epstein has written a fast paced, very interesting account of a high profile murder case that gripped the nation during the mid 1980's. Weaving trial action with a well written account of the case, the defendants and the participants, including the thinking and actions of the prosecutor, judge, and defense attorneys as the case and trial unfolded. Epstein keeps us engrossed in this sad and tragic tale of the interplay of psychological deterioration, abuse, and victimization, that lead to the horrible death of a young child in small town Maine, and the conviction of murder of one of the defendants, but the acquittal of the mother.

About the Author
Jim Sheeler has specialized in covering the impact of the war at home for the "Rocky Mountain News" since the first Colorado casualty of the war in Iraq. He won the 2006 Pulitzer Prize for Feature Writing for his story aFinal Salutea and has won numerous other local and national writing awards. Born in Houston, Texas, Sheeler graduated with a degree in journalism from Colorado State University in 1990 and earned a masteras degree in journalism from the University of Colorado in 2007. His book of collected obituaries, "Obit: Inspirational Stories of Everyday People Who Led Extraordinary Lives," was published in June 2007.

A Heartbreaking Tribute

I remember reading about Woodrow Wilson's agony, as he prepared to address Congress, to ask for the US to enter WWI. All he could think of were the boys who would be killed or maimed as a result of his words. Witnesses said his face was actually contorted, perhaps a harbinger of the stroke he would have, a few years later. Before entering the chamber, he stopped in front of a mirror, and physically pushed his face back into a normal mode. In recent decades, one wonders if Presidents are all too cavalier about sending young men to die in questionable wars. One thinks of Lyndon Johnson telling the troops to "nail the coonskin to the wall" or George W. Bush in his flight suit, Top Gun, "Mission Accomplished" moment. "Final Salute" should be required reading for every President.

Through the eyes of those who have to perform the horrible task of notifying the next of kin of the death of their loved ones, the book tells the story of several soldiers, marines, and sailors who didn't make it home. One comes to know them well, and grieves for them and their families as they go through this agony. Lives interrupted, cut short. Children who will never know their fathers. Young war widows trying to survive. Parents who must bury a child. All this in the aftermath of "the knock" on the door. The pictures almost take your breath away.

This book is not about glory, not about conquest. In the end, I think it is about loss and love...the love of family members, the love of comrades in arms, the love of Country. As Memorial Day draws near, the sacrifices these people made, on both sides of "the knock" should never be forgotten. This is not an easy book, but you shouldn't miss it.

RICK "SHAQ" GOLDSTEIN SAYS: "MY BIGGEST FEAR WAS **"THE-VISIT"** TO MY PARENTS HOUSE."

When I was in the military I was sent on a classified mission when I was nineteen years old. No one in the entire world that knew me, cared about me, or loved me, knew where I was going or what I was doing. I carried two fears within me during this time. The first fear was obviously of being killed. The second fear was of "THE-VISIT" that my poor, wonderful, loving, unknowing, Parents would get if I was killed. The horrendous, horrifying, ghastly, human reaction by a next of kin that has no reason to worry about a knock on the door by "CASUALTY NOTIFICATION", is too gruesome to imagine let alone put in words.

This book should be read by every single American citizen. But, be warned; it is extremely emotional and you will shed tears. I am an honorably discharged Viet Nam era veteran and I consider myself to be a pretty tough guy. I have faced death and came out on the other side. When I got this book, before I actually started reading it, I went to the center portion which has twenty-four pages of color pictures that range from pictures of our fallen hero's that are depicted in this book, to their mourning families before and after "notification", to a pregnant crying wife, draping herself over the American Flag, that is draped over the coffin containing her husband, to cemeteries, to a ripped apart "last letter" home from a fallen American Hero. As if the pictures weren't powerful enough the captions carry additional emotional power of their own. I could not make it through the pictures without tears coming to my eyes!

People watch the news and they read papers and magazines about the cost and damage of war, but this book to me is the echo of the story that isn't heard when you turn off your TV or throw the papers and magazines away. Reading this book makes me prouder than ever that I served my country honorably... and it reinforces within my very soul, what I've never taken for granted... and that's the blessing that I came home alive. I could not go more than five or ten pages at a time without my eyes losing its battle to fight back tears. I have my Honorable Discharge displayed between my family room and my kitchen, and under it I've always had the following quote displayed:

A Humble Presentation

This is a fine work of quiet journalism. Mr. Sheeler has written vignettes from his personal observations of our current military burial practices and rituals, from family notification to points yet undefined, if only because some of these counselors remain in contact with some of the families. These are matters of depth and duration.

These are his accounts of the daunting job of those who bring terrible news to the "Next of Kin", and of the next of kin themselves. Such journalism is difficult to do cleanly and honestly. He does a remarkable job of not inserting himself into the chapters. He was, by the testimony of United States Marine Colonel Beck, most respectful of the fallen and of their families. Bias may be inevitable, but I find none here to cloud or distract or distort these sad events.

Each story is only as long as necessary. No editorializing. No purple embellishment. With such clarity he lays before us so that each touches us. First each alone, and then in a gradual appreciation of the both range and the commonality of them all. They are moving and enlightening.

The only time you get a sense of this author is when he bares the events where he is himself involved. After all, he really was there and in contact with the families and others. He cannot deny it by omission. But as he works through the difficulties of not being that in-your-face newsman we usually read or see, he actually further illuminates the courage of these families.

I started off by mentioning burial rituals and practices. Mr. Sheeler has a keen eye and ear. He does much to record the ceremonial side as well as the personal side. Indeed they touch profoundly in his renditions. Things sometimes vary by service. He points them out to us. He supplies quite a lot of information in a subtle way as the book unfolds. Such careful presentation is artful without artifice. Here is beauty and pain, ache and remembrance, truth and respect. Please read this book.
